Introducing the fluids


Age: 7 and over

What we will need

  • A1 white cardboard
  • 3 washable paint medium bottles (red, blue and yellow)
  • a bowl with water
  • a spoon
  • ice cream sticks
  • disposable cups

What we gonna do

  1. Hand one cup and one stick to each pupil.
  2. Put the paint bottles opened on the table, with sticks inside. Ask each child to mix the colors in his/her cup, to add water (with the spoon) and use the mixture to make a spot on the paper.
  3. While observing the spots, we will talk about the way they disperse and blend (or not). Science consideres liquids as fluids, because they flow and scatter. But there are invisible fluids that receive our thoughts' and feelings' qualities…
